Overwhelming obstacles to safety in school buildings have the led the District and the Association to agree to implementing Distance Learning first semester. The working conditions associated with distance learning are established in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) AMENDED 8/28/2020. The MOU conforms with all current State laws and County recommendations. The MOU allows for amendments if laws, recommendations, and conditions change between now and the end of 2020. The parties agree to negotiate a subsequent memorandum concerning second semester. To clarify the some of the finer points of the MOU, we have put together an FAQ sheet that you can access by clicking here. Still not entirely clear? A Glossary of Distance Learning terms has also been created to help clarify the various parts of the MOU. Click here for the glossary.
