WHILE YOU ARE EMPLOYED
The District pays the negotiated portion (1997-98 District portion is
100%). The employee has the choice of three plans plus coverage for
dental and vision care.

WHILE YOU ARE ON THE EARLY RETIREMENTOPTION
During this five year period up to age 60 the District continues to provide
the same health coverage as for active members including dental.

WHILE YOU ARE ON REGULAR RETIREMENT AND ARE UNDER
AGE
67
The District pays the negotiated portion. ($309.78 in 1997-98)
Employees pay any difference between coverage received and coverage
chosen. Dental can
be purchased by the retiree.

WHILE YOU ARE AGE 67 AND OLDER
The District pays nothing. The MTA Health Trust Fund provides you with
the same coverage as the District provided you up until age 67. This
coverage could be altered only by a vote of the MTA Representative
Council.
