California Voters Soundly Defeat Vouchers
Proposition 38, the Draper school voucher Initiative, was defeated
with 70.7% of the votes. This is a huge victory for the hundreds of volunteers in
the education community who worked to defeat this initiative. Proposition 39, the
school bond initiative, was approved by 53.4% of the voters. This new law will make
it easier for districts to receive local bond funds.
