YRE Meeting Tuesday, August 7

The YRE Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 3:30 p.m. at Suva Intermediate.
Association representatives will discuss the Governorís budget, negotiations, and the NEA convention.
Members are encouraged to attend and bring site concerns.

The Law Protects Your Safety at School

The District and the Association promote parent and community involvement at all school sites. In all cases, certain protections must be invoked in order to maintain school safety.

All visitors/volunteers must be required to register in the office when they arrive and depart from school.

It is vital that Bargaining Unit members report any threatening or violent acts to the site administrator and the Building Rep. Penal Code 415.5 states that any person that maliciously and willfully disturbs another person within any school or uses offensive words within any school which are inherently likely to provoke an immediate violent reaction is guilty of a misdemeanor.
Remember to report any unsafe situation on the MTA Safety and Security Report form available on our web page montebelloteachers.org and on the reverse side of this Contact.

September Is Open Enrollment For Insurance

Open enrollment is conducted during the month of September. All changes from one insurance carrier to another must be completed in September. All changes must be made through the risk management department at district office. The three major medical insurance options are

Kaiser
California Care
Blue Cross

All Bargaining Unit members are entitled to select among the three options.

This is also the time to add dependents and amend long term care coverage.
