Celebrate Day of the Teacher Wednesday, May 10
California Teachers: Bringing Dreams to Life

What did George Washington Carver, Louisa May Alcott, Dwight David Eisenhower, and Dolores Huerta have in common?

They each spent a part of their careers transforming lives - through teaching.

On Wednesday, May 10 we celebrate Day of the Teacher. It’s a good day to remember and salute those men and women whose teaching helped transform your life.

This special observance was established 24 years ago to honor teachers and the teaching profession in California. This year’s “Day of the Teacher” theme is “California Teachers: Bringing Dreams to Life.”
