The Reading Language Arts Lions’ tests used in the district this year are in the process of being revised for next year. The Reading First Office at D.O. would like teachers to report any errors or concerns they have regarding specific items on the test. In order to be useful, this information needs to be very specific: please note grade level, theme number, subtest and item number, followed by an explanation of the concern or objection to the item.
The Reading First Office has been told that if these items can be communicated to Sacramento by Friday, March 9, the information will be considered in the revision process. The state has an April printing deadline in order to have the tests available for year-round schools in July. Therefore, the earlier you can relate this information to D.O., the more likely it will be considered. Please fax your concerns to Ann Nemerouf at (323) 887-5886, mail to Ann Nemerouf, D.O. ET-3, or e-mail to Ann Nemerouf at Nemerouf_Ann@montebello.k12.ca.us. Thank you.
