
The District and the Association are offering an Hours and Assignments training for Bargaining Unit members and administrators interested in learning about this section of the contract. The training will be conducted by MUSD Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Gene Kerr and MTA Executive Director Kathy Kohn.
Beginning July 1, 2006 school sites may choose to utilize up to 2 hours of outside the Board Day time within the Board Day. A complete explanation of this process will be offered at the meeting. The meeting will be from 3:30 - 5 p.m. Up to 1.5 hours of District Salary Credit may be earned for attending this training.

Retirement Benefits Workshop
Planned for March 14
The MTA Trust Fund and all retiree health benefits will be explained at the Retirement Benefits Workshop Tuesday, March 14, 3:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the District Office. The workshop will be presented by Dolores Gonzales from MUSD Risk Management and Sandy Muhr from Allied Administrators. All those considering retiring in the next several years should attend this very informative workshop. Friends and spouses are invited to attend as well.
Early Retirement Option Deadline Is Monday, April 17
If you are planning on early retirement at the conclusion of the current school year, you must complete and return the option form to the certificated personnel office no later than Monday, April 17. You must be between 55 and 60 years of age and have 15 years of experience with the District to qualify for the option. You are not obligated to include a letter of resignation at the time of completing the option form. Call Jean Sato at extension 2329 for more information.

The MTA Retirement Banquet is scheduled for Friday, June 16. Please contact the MTA office if you are planning to retire or know someone who is. We plan to make this an evening to remember!
