ABSENCES AND ATTRITION COULD ELIMINATE FURTHER .65% RAISE
The absences and attrition of the winter will possibly affect the .65% raise
expected this June. The P1 report from the District shows attendance at 32,790. Business
Manager's trend loss estimated at 200 brings the total to 32,590. The full .65% raise
would be implemented if the attendance of the P2 is 32,636 (not 32,454 as reported
incorrectly in the January 12 Contact). If Sheppard's estimates are correct
the raise would be a .5% retroactive to July 1, 1997. The only way to receive the
full .65% raise is to always follow up on excused absences.
